CrushGrind© Vaasa storage jar - off-white

This storage jar is part of the Crushgrind© Vaasa series. You can use it to season your spices. storage, but also as a replacement container for the spice mill from this series. The jar is made of glass, the lid of biocomposite material. The color of the lid is off-white.

The design of the Vaasa series is by Sam(uel) Murley of the Danish concept developer Ideas. The pot is nine centimeters high and is available per set of two, but also per piece. Just like the spice grinder, the jar is also available in green.

Sustainable

The jar itself is made of glass, the lid of cellulose fibers, sourced from certified wood from mainly coniferous trees, felled from sustainably managed forests. This biocomposite has a low CO₂ footprint in contrast to similar biomaterials made from edible crops. The biocomposite that Crushgrind uses therefore does not compete with the food production chain.

It is based on almost 100% renewable materials with two main components:

• cellulose fibers from wood,
• liquid rosin (called tall oil), a residue from pulp production

Cleaning

The glass part is dishwasher safe, but not the lid. Always wash the lid, such as the grinding mechanism of the Vaasa, 'by hand'.
