Africa is an important spice continent. It was already at the time of the Egyptian pharaohs. In the Middle Ages, African spices such as paradise grain and selim pepper were widely used flavourings at European courts. One of the most important spice countries is Madagascar, where vanilla, real cinnamon and voatsiperifery are grown. We sell the latter, both the black and the red and white versions. An emerging country is Cameroon, where the prestigious Penja pepper has been grown for several decades.

We offer the best of the continent, including three African descendants of the cardamom family: grain of paradise (aframomum meleguetta), mbongo (aframomum citratum) and kororima (aframom corrorima).
