Collection: Cardamoms

Besides the one and only (green) cardamom,  nature produces various 'pseudo' or false cardamoms, of which the large or black cardamom is the best known.  In both Asia and Africa, several plants grow with cardamom-like fruits and seeds, such as the Chinese hairy cardamom and the African korarima, or false cardamom.

A special representative is the white cardamom or kapulaga jawa. This can be found everywhere in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, but is hardly available in Europe.

We currently offer seven types of cardamom, including mbongo and grains of paradise, which are also considered pseudo peppers because of their pungency.
