Collection: Down under

Although also part of Oceania, Australia—including mainland Australia, Tasmania, and New Guinea—and Zealandandia—including New Zealand—are separate continents.

Sometimes food from these countries is labeled as 'bush food'.

This does not mean the place where it is found, the bush, but the knowledge that it is a native food that was used by the original population before the arrival of westerners in this region. Often these are products that have been collected for millennia by the traditionally nomadic population, called aborigines.

An example of this is Tasmanian pepper.
